- PM SKINCARE ROUTINE (2x week):
- Oil cleanse using DHC Deep Cleansing Oil.
- Wash with CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser.
- Dry skin completely before applying The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution.
- After waiting 10 minutes, wash the serum off with warm water.
- Moisturize skin with The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA.

For this review, we chose to use The Ordinary’s serum on the right cheek because this particular area is heavily marred with acne scars and even some deeper “ice pick” marks!

There doesn’t seem to be much changes to the acne scars just yet and this shouldn’t be surprising.

This update marks the halfway point for this skincare product review.
So far, we’ve applied The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution to the deep acne scars a total of 26 times within 3 months and had the following results:
We’re finally starting to see some of the smaller acne scars becoming lighter and show improved texture.
A few are even noticeably smaller than before!
However, there doesn’t seem to be any change to the ice pick scars and the deeper pockmarks as they still remain clearly visible.
Overall, The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution has certainly improved the texture of the skin in just 3 months of application.

How does The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution affect acne scars and overall facial skin tone after 6 months?
Let’s take a closer look at the final before and after results:
Although there are some improvements to the shallower acne scars, the majority of the deep acne scars are still visible.
These results shows just how incredibly difficult it is to complete get rid of deep acne scars and pockmarks but we did notice something interesting while reviewing the before and after comparison photos.
We can clearly see the overall skin texture is much smoother after applying The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution but what was completely surprising is just how even the skin tone looked by the end of this review, especially the areas affected by slight rosacea and redness.
For improving the appearance of skin with acne scars though, we’ve seen the best results using The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% and is still the skincare product we recommend!
