To find out if Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% makes a noticeable difference to deep acne scars, we use the following skincare routine for 90 days:
- AM Skincare Routine
- Cleanse using Caudalie Vinoclean Instant Foaming Cleanser.
- Moisturize with First Aid Beauty Facial Moisturizer.
- PM Skincare Routine
- Wash skin with Caudalie Vinoclean Instant Foaming Cleanser.
- Apply Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1%.
Now, this is a relatively simple skincare routine.
But simple is good, especially when using strong active skincare ingredients like Adapalene as this minimizes the chance of skin irritation.
Also, notice that we apply Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% only during the nighttime routine and since retinoids can sensitize the skin to UV-light, it’s important to remember the following:

For this review, we apply Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% to the acne scars and pop marks on the cheeks and after 2 weeks, saw the following results:
Surprisingly after just a couple weeks of applying Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1%, we already notice a few key changes to the skin’s appearance:
- Improved texture and even skin tone.
- Smaller acne scars are visibly lighter.

Well after applying this retinoid overnight for 1 month, here’s what we saw:
The overall texture of the skin is noticeably even and smooth and we’re starting to see some improvements to the smaller acne scars.
Comparing the acne scars in the lower half reveals that these scars are fading, both in size and color!
