Are all skincare products with AHA effective for Keratosis Pilaris?

You may have noticed that all the skincare products in our list has one ingredient in common: Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA).

Does this mean that all skincare products using AHA is an effective choice for Keratosis Pilaris?

    Well, no!

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

For example, we reviewed The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution thinking that the high concentration of AHA would completely transform skin severely affected by Keratosis Pilaris.

But after 3 months of applying these AHA solutions, we didn’t notice any major changes to the Keratosis Pilaris bumps.

Perhaps using only physical exfoliants like a Korean Italy Towel might have better results?

Surprisingly, exfoliating skin with Keratosis Pilaris bumps twice a week for 60 days using a Korean Italy Towel showed no major improvements and only caused minor skin irritation.

These examples clearly show that not every skincare products containing AHA or physical exfoliants are helpful for Keratosis Pilaris.
