We dedicate 30 days into reviewing each individual skincare product and while most products are effective, there’s a few that are extraordinary and needs to be included in our top 5 skincare products of 2020 list!
But, before getting into the top 5 skincare products we’ve reviewed, let’s start with our favorite skincare product of 2020.

What was our favorite skincare product of 2020?
Our favorite skincare product of 2020 was a bit surprising.
Before starting the review, we thought this skincare product looked a bit “boring” and wasn’t going to bring about any real changes to the skin.
But luckily for us, DHC Deep Cleansing Oil proved us wrong.

Initially, we doubted the “double cleansing” process but after using DHC Deep Cleansing Oil for 30 days, we experienced 2 important reasons why cleansing oils should be a part of your skincare routine:
- Gently remove blackheads.
- Yes, cleansing oils extracts blackheads and helps pores “look smaller” while improving the appearance of the skin.
However, the key word is “gently“.
As blackheads were extracted naturally during the double cleansing process, there was no longer a need to squeeze blackheads with fingernails!
Think about the pimples and blackheads you’ve squeezed with your fingernails and all the scarring, redness and irritation that it caused.
Wouldn’t it be amazing to have clearer skin, without the redness and inflammation?
- Yes, cleansing oils extracts blackheads and helps pores “look smaller” while improving the appearance of the skin.
- Easily wash off stubborn makeup, waterproof and mineral based sunscreen.
- There’s no excuses not to apply sunscreen daily anymore.
If you’ve avoided using sunscreen because it’s absolutely annoying to wash off, then cleansing oils are a must!
Remember, chemistry shows that “oil dissolves oil“, which is why cleansing oils are so effective at melting away mineral and oil based products. - Here’s a tip:
Try using cleansing oils the next time you clean your makeup brush.
- There’s no excuses not to apply sunscreen daily anymore.

Remember, applying sunscreen is an essential step in any skincare routines.
A skincare product that helps the skin look its best while also making sunscreen easier to use definitely stands out, which is why DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is our favorite skincare product of 2020!
However, this cleansing oil did not make it into our top 5 skincare products of 2020 list.

This helps us see how effective these skincare products really are when used on their own and not in a full skincare routine.
